Anyone been? They were busy last night and we really enjoyed our pizzas but my goodness they were straight black on the bottom. Is this normal for a newish place with a wood fired brick oven?

Don't tell the owner, he will fight you

His customer service skills are legendarily horrible (as with his entire staff) but I don’t want to fight. Just a simple question

Ours were the same. Also, the beer wasn't that cold. Unfortunately the Hammond area is severely lacking in good pizza places.

I agree. Tommy’s is abysmal so the standard is not high

I absolutely despise Tommy's. Cardboard crust and horrific service. But a lot of mouth breather's around here think it's the best pizza on earth b/c they dump sugar in their sauce.
Honestly, best pizza in the area is Nola Mia food truck. If you haven't tried it, you should.

Nola mia’s Marg is awesome

That thread when Blackened Brew opened was epic. Some serious melting to legit criticism.
Haven’t been to Pour House, but I have some friends who really enjoyed it, and they are big Tommy’s people so I take that as a good sign. I like the idea of the dog patio there.

So blackened brew, tommys, and pour house are on the same street at Brady’s and Mariners? There’s a pretty good reason why Brady’s and Mariners do so well I suppose

Haven’t tried the food truck, where is it?
Best pizza in Hammond otherwise is at streetside, surprisingly

Gnarly Barley hosts it from time to time. Goes well with beer

THANK YOU!
Pizza is not supposed to taste like a dessert with cheese.

I've heard a lot of good things about them. Twisted Tomato is pretty decent as well.
