Same here. Good sandwich but the spicy was only due to the sauce from I could tell. Chicken was good though!

Excellent sandwich. Just had it a bit ago for lunch, and I’d like to point out that the Popeyes in 78613 was the best Popeyes experience I’ve ever had. It’s crazy it has such terrible reviews. Those reviewers have clearly never been to ones in central Louisiana.

Damnit read this thread yesterday fired me up. Ease down to the local Popeye's and they don't have it yet. Lady at the counter says we gonna git it, heard it was coming.

Swung through Popeyes. The chicken is juicy and the pickles make it. Not spicy at all.

Man, I went to the Popeyes in Natchitoches years ago and was amazed. Every worker was happy and busy doing something. Went to fill up my cup with Sprite and it was out. One of the employees all the way in the back must have smelled the decrease in sugar to water ratio, and ran to assure me he was changing it out then and there. It felt like a dream. I almost moved there because of that Popeyes experience.

Had one yesterday. It wasn't spicy like the fried chicken, but it was very good though.

I was hoping it would be spicier, but it's pretty damn great. The texture is perfect. It does all the little things well. Even the bun is excellent.

The ones by me (North Houston) are perfectly spicy, and I made sure to eat a few pieces of just the chicken today. It's definitely spicy chicken. Not sure why the difference.
