Compère Lapin is a much more fun atmosphere than Coquette.

Based solely on food coquette would get the nod. For a more festive atmosphere I’d lean Compere Lapin

Having eaten at both again recently I got CL over coquette for food right now. Matter of fact I don’t think many places top CL right now

Something has been off at Coquette the last two times I’ve been. I’ve been a fan of their tasting menu but the last two times I’ve taken groups there it hasn’t been the same. Wonder if they have a new chef or something

Funny you say that. I have always really liked Coquette but when I went a week or so ago, I was hard pressed to find something I really wanted. I know a small/limited menu is normal for quality restaurants, but it is tricky when the few items offered don’t really jump out at you.

Everything was good as far as taste even if I wasn’t wildly excited about what we ordered, so it’s by no means not good.

Compere Lapin 1a and Coquette 1b for food, but Cavan has a great atmosphere for a birthday. They have an awesome ten top in a really cool Nook/private room that we like for groups.
