I try to buy from RT but may need a bag this weekend. Any suggestions on a store brand that is better than the others?

I've been using the Pit Boss pellets and haven't had an issue. I tried the Treager pellets and got allot of sawdust and over sized pellets.

I buy the 20lb bag of several different kinds...BB competition blend, Royal Oak Charcoal pellets, Apple pellets, cherry pellets, pecan pellets, hickory pellets. Then mix them as I want depending on how and what I'm cooking. I have noticed the BB competition blend is mainly post oak, so I use it more sparingly as it's not a lavor and smoke profile i care for much.

Cabelas competition blend has been the best performer for me.

Pit Boss Competition Blend has been good for me. Tractor Supply or Wal Mart, about $15 for 40 lbs.

A lot of people like the B&B Pellets that academy sells.

You can find the Kingsford ones which are the same as RT at Albertsons or Rouses.

Got mine from Dicks Sporting goods (LumberJack). Probably Academy also. I bought some Jack Daniels pellets from Hutches in Prairieville and of course Goodwood Hardware (although I'm not a fan of Traeger pellets which is what they sell).
