Went to Pelican House last Thursday. Had a good time. Beer recommendations by the staff were all good. Nice clean look to the place. A lot of space and different seating arrangements. Had some type of chicken sandwich that was tasty.
Only gripe was the lack of ESPNU (LSU baseball game on). I know this place isn't a sports bar but how hard can it be to get ESPNU?
Maybe they could do something with the beer menu. Seemed a bit overwhelming once I had 5-6 beers in me.

Sorry. I'd rather watch LSU baseball than Knicks vs. Pacers. I wasn't there to watch the game but it playing in the background wouldn't have been a bad thing (At least 5 people asked them to switch to the baseball game while I was there). I guess they should just have TVs playing beer making videos or whatever else you consider suitable. Don't have multiple flat screen TVs playing sports if that's not your thing.
The beer menu was about 20 pages of water logged paper stapled together. It wasn't alphabetized. When they would bring me another beer I felt like Indiana Jones trying to find it on the menu. Next time I'll be sure to do my research at home as to not offend anybody.

I get that beer snobbery is your little niche in life that allows you the slightest bit of self worth but you really are missing the point.

Well I'm sorry I hurt your feeling. You obviously have some type of connection to this place (friend owns it, friend works there, waitress you want to bang).
If I stop in tonight I'll be sure to alert the manager that the place is a Tap Room and Whiskey Bar and ask if he'd gladly turn off the multiple TVs playing the Heat/Pacers game. Now since they've invested the money in having all of those TVs, what would be a good suggestion to have them change the channel to?

I know last week they were still dealing with Cox, so they were only able to get basic cable selections, and no HD. That was supposed to be fixed this week.
