I agree, TR isnt putting out juice bombs, but what they are releasing is very drinkable.

Other than Spindletap has Parish done a collab with anyone?

Yes It’s a 2 case limit release day (300 case total)

I missed out on the pre sale also but
I’m gonna go anyway to pick up for some other people
if I’m able to score some release day the “share the hop” FBD program will be in effect

A big thank you to the folks who care about our DDH Ghost release and who are discussing it today. There are a lot of very strong emotions about what went down today, so maybe it would be a good idea for me to add some facts to the mix to help anyone if they'd like more info.

First, the 24 hard-working people at Parish are grateful for such strong interest and support from the beer community. We still sell a tiny fraction of beer compared to the giant, multinational beer conglomerates and we are doing battle daily against the large national and regional craft brewers just to keep our products flowing on taps and bought from store shelves throughout the gulf south. We depend on your support to survive, as do all local brewers. A close, neighboring distributing brewery just announced closure a couple of weeks ago, if you needed a real-world example of what is at stake here. I didn't start Parish for a fun place to work - I started it because I wanted to build a company and a brand that will win, a brand to be proud of, a brand to become part of the culture of Louisiana and the greater gulf south. We will not apologize for making a product that is so popular it sells out from our brewery in minutes. Isn't that what we are supposed to do? If not, we put our business at risk, we put our employees jobs at risk. If we dont try to win, we will be squeezed out by the huge brewers, they would love to see us go away.

We are grateful to brew beer for a living, all because you guys are looking for interesting, innovative, and delicious products. We will continue to work hard to innovate and create quality you can depend on every time you choose Parish to drink.

There were several hundred people online at noon today all ready to buy our beer. If we limited to 1 case per person, most people would still be left empty handed in the pre sale today. The average cases sold per person on the pre-sale today was 3.7. Very few people purchased the 10 case limit. If we chose a small limit, we are afraid people would be upset that they travel to Parish only to get a small amount of beer to take home. We are making the best decisions we can make with the info available and as we learn about reaction and logistics to our releases we can adjust. The next release we may have a lower limit, we may increase qty available, maybe we can have a higher limit, we may increase price, etc. I know that it sucks to not be able to pre-order it, but this is a very popular product and our pre-sale inventory sold out. I wish we could fulfill everyone's needs but it is literally impossible to fulfill every person that wanted to buy via presale today. Well, maybe if we limited to one bottle per person, that would have spread the product out enough, but I think you understand my point - there was not enough to go around, no matter the limit.

We will have at least 300 cases for sale at the brewery on a first-come, first-served basis on Sat, Sept 15. We did this for the sole purpose of having lots of cases available for people that didn't get in on the pre-sale. Judging from the response today, I would advise getting in line early if you want to secure cases.

At the end of the day, what a great time to be a part of the Louisiana beer scene. We are quietly making big waves down here in coastal LA and I am very proud to be a part of such a passionate and growing industry. Thank you all for your support and understanding, we do not take it for granted and we are laser-focused on making innovative, high-quality beer for you. Cheers. Andrew

Such a dumbass. There's no fallacy in that argument.

As usual, he would be better posting this picture and just owning it.

As a business person I would take that 3.7 to realize I should limit to 2 cases and get more asses in the door to my brewery

wtf..$18 a 4-pk isn't enough? No way anything tastes good enough to go higher for a damn beer.

I am guessing this means their 16 oz, 4-pk Spindletap release will be $22 a pop.

$18-$22 is the standard price nowadays at most brewery’s for 16oz 4-packs.

The funny thing is, he could have limited it and still sold out the pre orders. Maybe it would have lasted 15 minutes and not 15 seconds. 10 case limit? Hmm what could go wrong here.

Based on the fact the last time I sold this people drove here over iced roads and around closed major interstates to get here!? Maybe I should be a good owner and spread my supply around to my loyal customers?

Nah frick em...get that money

Steins is a great example. Dan values his patrons. He spreads his supply even though he knows he can sell it out in a couple hours if he wants. Andrew is a schill for the dollar. Gives no fricks about his customers.

It's kind of sad he has to make a post like that. Can't think of any other brewery that has had to come out with a statement after a release.

I think he feels it owes it. Probably trying to be the good guy.

In reality money wins out.

He has a bunch of small time distributors moving 10 cases at a time instead of Mockler. No wonder why he has snitches going against him.

Wow, I just saw Andrews response. He wants people to not be disappointed they are getting a small amount on the presale so the limit is 10 cases? What individual can go through 25 gallons of DDH ghost and be disappointed they didn’t get enough?

Parish can do what they want with their beer, but this move was strictly to gain national buzz. He wants his beer sold in the secondary market so he gets on those all important buzzfeed lists.

As others said, he kind of spits in the face of the average customer with these ridiculous limits. 2 cases, ok. 3 seems a bit much to me, but whatever. 10 is just being an arse.

Again, make that money and all of that, but that little press release he just comes off like a bit of a douche.

FWIW, I’m to the point I’d rarely want to buy more than a single bottle of Parish beer. Their product is too inconsistent and they have carbonation issues, rather not chance getting 6 over-carbed beers. Regular ghost was good this last release, but everything else I’ve had this year is just an inconsistent mess.
