That's ridiculous. I think my hoppiest IPA to date has been 15 oz. in a 5 gallon batch.

My team's Iron Brewer beer last year was 17 oz. (1 @ 60 minutes, 8 @ whirlpool, 8 @ secondary) per 5 gallons. I brewed one since then with the same hop bill... yeah that gets expensive even at a commercial scale.

Idk man I see a lot of beers at the stores here in Houston that are over $5 for a single 12 oz bottle. Hell black crack from southern star is almost $12 for a 16oz can.

This dude might faint if he ever sees the price of a good barrel-aged sour.

For the record, this is still cheaper per ounce than batch one of Ghost in 750mL bottles.

I predict at some point a segment of hard core hop heads will start smoking the hops. It's a slippery slop I tell ya.

But it’s hard to justify buying a beer at the store for 4.50 a bottle, when you can have any number of other beers that are good and similar for $1.50 - $3 a bottle

Please do share which ones these are.

18 for a 4 Pack

I’d much rather drink 3 Envies for nearly the same price as one of those

I will gladly spend $18 for great beer. It's not like I'm going out and buying a four pack of this stuff every other day or something.

There seems to be a lot of crossover in the Hop/weed community so it honestly wouldn’t surprise me all that much if it became a thing

I'm in the "too expensive" crowd. I understand why it's expensive, as hops are pricey and it's a special release, but that's pretty damn steep.

If true, that does provide some good perspective into how overpriced Ghost initially was and how starved Louisiana was for a great DIPA.

I’m saying I wouldn’t buy a pack of these every other day. I wouldn’t buy a good sour at the same right either. But a lot of people will or would if the supply was available

I dont understand the outcry of paying $4 more than a 4 pack of attacus or any other of their hoppy releases. We are talking $1 more a bottle. I mean, if money is an issue, buy a suitcase of natty light.

My wife couldn't believe BCS was like $10 a bottle. I showed her it was obviously a bigger bottle and it was 14.7% alcohol. So just under the size of a 750mL bottle of wine and a higher than average alcohol content.

It's not "I can't afford it", it's "I refuse to pay that". Same as CBS.

Where is your line? Would you still buy it for $22/4pack? $30?

I'm not upset or mad, just not buying a 4 pack beer for $18. I think we're hitting a point of hype increasing price more than I personally feel it's worth.

$25 would probably be my line.
Just like with wine I generally stick to bottles under $20. Most I would ever spend is $50, but some friends value wine more than me and have no trouble spending $100

And what’s the deal with releasing a new glassware for every new beer release?

People like to collect things?

Also, I really like this glass. Unfortunately, there's no way I'm driving to Broussard.

I wonder how many people who bitch about the cost of an $18 four pack have no problem going out and buying an $8 pint of beer at a restaurant or bar?
