Status Bottle. And I'm actually about to pay 2,000 for it. It's for my neighbor actually. I've tried talking them out of it, but it's strictly status.
I have access to a RIP 10yr old, 12 yr lotb, and a 15 yr that I tried steering them towards, but they aren't interested. lolol.

Lol.... I'm not BUYING my neighbor a $2,000 bottle of Pappy. I am a neighbor who enjoys bourbon and have made purchases of quality bottles before. So, my neighbor asked me to try and locate a pappy 23yr bottle for her husbands birthday surprise.
I Found one. Price is crazy. Like I said, I paid 950 for a 23 yr old pappy about 3 yrs ago. So, I tried to talk them into the 15yr old or even the 12yr lotb.... But they only won't Pappy 23yr old. lol..... So, I was reaching out one last time to see if I'd come across a bottle for a little less.

Scotch is better anyway.
