Give it a break, hippy.
Paper plates come from trees, which are a completely renewable resource. Are you as adamant about a sheet of printer paper or a few sticky notes? Get a life.

Trees don't magically transform themselves into paper plates without a whole bunch of fossil fuels and plenty of noxious chemicals. (Ever smelled Bogalusa or Port Hudson?)

Happily, I work for a mostly paperless organization. My boss would rather poke out an eye than print an agenda. We bought logo cups and mugs for the breakroom. I admit to having & using a bamboo fork and spoon for my office lunches.

Any fisherman can tell you first hand that the amount of plastic trash in our waters is effing ridiculous.

This is so embarrassing and pathetic that I almost think you have to be trolling.

Just curious....how many FDB-ers use these plates daily? I belong to some FB food groups and a great deal of the photos show disposable plates being used regularly...
I have not voluntarily used a paper or styrofoam plate in my own home ... ever.

I use the shite out of .02 paper plates.

Think of all the resources used to make a dishwasher, soap and the packaging, water, power to heat the water and run the dishwasher, and the sewage treatment to clean the dirty dish water. Every day of the year. You do you

Wife got me ‘the gift of no dishes’ for Christmas- 250 paper plates and 125 bowls. While it is kind of nice, it’s really wasteful. I told her I wished she would just do the dishes for me instead she was not amused

Depends...most of the time its just easier to put it on paper plates.

That’s crazy talk. Assuming you are already washing the dishes you cooked with, along with the utensils, it takes like 10 seconds to wash a plate.

If I’m making a sandwich for lunch or having a big group over for burgers/wings/etc it’s going on paper plates. A 100 pack will last me months.

Do the anti paper plates people not use paper towels too?
