100% Frozen.

Makes for a better crust.

frozen for sure. and to ensure a uniform fried crust around the entire exterior, you need to drop it right on in the oil. Some will tell you to slowly lower it, but all this does is ensure that the bottom side gets way overcooked and the top will likely still be raw.

Be sure to keep the flame lite when you drop it in too.

People On the Mediterranean lower carb diets prefer Extra Virgin Olive Oil to fry their turkey in.

I’m more tropically oriented and prefer coconut oil for the MCT benefits and the taste of the islands.

This is funny because a frozen turkey will cause a hot grease explosion. I get the joke and will be forwarding this to all my grandchildren

I have found that frying turkeys frozen works best for me at 325. I recently started covering my legs with aluminum foil so they won’t burn. I also do not fill my oil to the top like you see on TV.

I’ve never seen a frozen turkey fried. I’d be afraid to stand near that.

Do it in the house. Preferably next to the Christmas tree.

I saw a guy in the store last night buying a frozen turkey and a couple bottles of peanut oil. I decided to mind my own business and assume he had a turkey already thawed out.

Might want to look for him on the news.

Will give a similar pink ring that you get with a smoke ring on the pit

I hope everyone that reads this thread realizes it is a JOKE..

DO NOT TRY TO FRY A FROZEN TURKEY WHATEVER YOU DO. IT WILL GO UP IN A FIREBALL.

The turkey legs or your legs.......actually both sound like the way to go.

You have issues, dood. Quit trying to scare people to death

To make an omlet, you have to crack a couple of eggs. Same difference.

Agreed. The fire created by the frozen turkey also gives the bird a smokey flavor. Best of both worlds.
