I'm pretty sure the one in LaPlace still has the black stone construction.

"It wasn't St. Claude. That turns into St. Bernard Hwy. It's actually Claiborne that turns into Judge Perez. It's been bulldozed since '07. They put some modular home sales office in its place. It hadn't been a Popeyes in over a decade though. It was some Chinese food/po-boy place since the late 90's early 2000's."

This is factually correct and accurate.

The one on Terry Parkway and Stumpf had the black stone, but I have no idea when it changed to some other kind of restaurant...

The Popeye's buffet near Tanger in Gonzales was pretty good if you got there by 11:15. By noon it was trashed, they had a hard time keeping the trays full. The construction & plant workers in the area kept them busy, the average patron weighed about 240, you might see one or two women there, but it was a feeding trough.

For $6 you could eat chicken till you rolled over and died.

I'm ashamed to say I have the answer.

7000 block of W. Judge Perez at the intersection with Rowley, in Arabi.

I hope this link works:

I still have fond memories of the Pizza Inn on Vets and Severn. To this day, I haven't been to Lagers cause I don't think I could handle it.

Not sure if the Popeye's in Morgan City still has the black stone construction, but in the 80's it had a buffett with a waitress who would take your order. Also, they had a few "off" the menu items...Almost like a cafeteria.
