the hotel situation isn't any better, so you'll get your wish and I'll stay out of your town.

Holy shite. I'm just reading thru entire thread. Boy you are a piece of work. You call it your town but you don't have options other than a steak house?

Holy shite. The internet is fricking retarded sometimes. How are these considered insults?

"you are stupid" isn't?
Not that I am defending the OP. Post made no sense to me either. And he went overboard.

so true

Insults make more sense when they are derived from what you see from the person based on their posts.
It's like if I called you a stupid woman when you're not a woman.
Anyway.. as for the thread, I don't see what OpenTable has to do with someone failing to plan ahead. I opted out of family Christmas this year and am doing New Orleans on Christmas instead. I made my dinner reservation for Christmas night 2-3 months ago because I know that is a busy night. If I was going to dinner on NYE (which is the busiest night of the year beyond Mother's Day and Valentine's), I'd have gotten that shite taken care of before now. And if for some reason I couldn't until now, I definitely wouldn't be blaming some website for other people's ability to think ahead

Or price fix menus.
I wanted to get a particular shirt for my son. If I order it now, it won't be here by Christmas. Stupid internet has ruined online shopping.

Actually, a friend from your neck of the woods is coming over and I think we are having a crawfish boil, which I have never seen done on NYE.
And frying backstrap.
OP, boil some crawfish. I bet your out of state woman would like that

We are boiling at my friend's beach house in Galveston this weekend, going in for the festival of lights at moody gardens

Ruined? That's a little dramatic and makes you sound like a little bitch. Quit feeling sorry for yourself and move on with this amazing life you've been given.

I too am really pissed off that opentable makes NOLA steakhouses have fixed menus on NYE and that they allow other people who have never lived in New Orleans to use opentable. frick all you newbs who make plans in advance and avoid steakhouses (or restaurants in general) on NYE. Don't even get me fricking started on Valentine's day.
[Sarcasm off] You can always still get a reservation the old fashioned way - by going to the restaurant in person and bribing the hostess in advance, but cheap people won't do that.

shite show of a thread.
If a place requires a prix fixe on NYE, choose another destination. They are catering to amateur hour.

So you're mad that other people did what you wanted to do?
