This was the first thing that came to mind in terms of consistency and variety.

R&O's. Easy choice for me. Huge, varied menu and not a bad thing on it.

Probably Jiro's original joint.

I can't make passable sushi to save my life and I REALLY like sushi, so might as well go with one of the best on the planet.

Technically IN the planet, I guess, since it's down in a basement.

I make darn good pizza with just a piece of steel in a 550 degree oven. Not too specialized.

In BR, Ruffinos. Not too expensive and a decent variety.

Cheesecake Factory menu
Here's a little sample
Appetizers
Roadside Sliders
Chicken Pot Stickers
Avocado Eggrolls
Quesadilla
Fried Macaroni and Cheese
Pork Belly Sliders
Southern Fried Chicken Sliders
Hot Spinach and Cheese Dip
Tex Mex Eggrolls
Fried Calamari
Buffalo Blasts
Warm Crab and Artichoke Dip
Sweet Corn Tamale Cakes
Eggroll Sampler
Thai Lettuce Sampler
Soup of the Day
Fire-Roasted Fresh Artichoke
Factory Nachos
Guacamole and Chips
Buffalo Wings
Firecracker Salmon

Entrees per category:
Small plates and Snacks: 17 listed
Pizza: 5 listed but I think you can customize somewhat
Pastas: 16 listed
Steaks, Chops, Fish, and Seafood: 15 listed
Specialities: 30 listed

And that's not including the Brunch menu and the ones I just didn't want to bother with.

Say what you will about their quality, but you'd have lots of options.

And all f that Cheesecake Factory food is frozen crap. You’re paying to have someone defrost things for you.

If the restaurant is too nice it would be too rich and I would get tired of that style of eating. It needs to be a wide ranging menu with just enough good entrees and diversity of style. I would pick Zea's: big selection, multiple styles of foods, healthy options for when I want that, and a decent bar/beer selection. Plus my wife can find food there to eat too, so I can have some company...occasionally.

*Mel's diner - Alice & Flo
*Merlotte's- Sookie & Arlene
*Cheesecake factory- Penny & Bernadette
