Looking to buy 20-25 cigars. Tried Churchill's in BR but they said they would have to charge each cigar in the box, as opposed to buying the box at a discount like you would online.

Does anyone know of any particular cigar websites that I can order a box from and can guarantee freshness upon delivery?

I’ve ordered from several places. I have been using cigars international for the past few months with good results.

Cigarpage is really good. Best deals on the web, IMO.

I buy from Bonita Smoke Shop out of Florida. You get free ups ground shipping on orders of more than $150.00. I normally get my cigars delivered within 3-4 days.

I found a great deal on an Oliva sampler at Thompson Cigars a few months ago, so I've been using them for some bulk purchases. That said, I cannot recommend using Thompson Cigar. The deals aren't really that great compared to everyone else. When it does seem like you're getting a good deal, you have to be careful that you're not getting a deal on seconds.

Shipping has been a nightmare. I recently ordered 5 5-packs and 2 boveda packs. I received 3 5 packs in the first box. A week later, I received a boveda pack in one box, and a Cheap $2 Cuban Honey cigar - that I didn't order, in the other box that was supposed to contain the Boveda pack. I received yet another 5pack a week later, and I'm still waiting on one to be delivered. (I see the website now saying it's backordered)

The cigars arrive in poor condition. I've learned to give them several weeks in my humidor before attempting to smoke them.

Also, they spam the shite out of your email box. You have to unsubscribe.

TL;DR - Avoid Thompson Cigar for repeat business, however they occasionally have good sales on budget sticks.

I don't think any online merchant guarantees freshness upon delivery. I have purchased from Small Batch and Fox who ship with Boveda packs, and the packaging looks excellent and still had to rest them in my humidor for weeks.

There are a few B&M stores in Lafayette that offer discounts if you purchase 20+. Not sure if there are other stores in Baton Rouge worth calling and asking, but buying at a reputable B&M store is the only way to guarantee freshness at time of purchase.

They all do, to my knowledge.

BR guys, is Churchill's is trying to screw him? I haven't set foot in that store in nearly twenty years. I find it hard to believe any shop would charge singles prices for a whole box.

Yes, golf courses do the same with golf balls. If you buy a box, they will charge you the price of a sleeve X4. It’s bullshite!

Order a box online OP. I use cigar international

That's shady, for certain, unless the state's laws have changed and are forcing them to do something like this for tax purposes. It's a fair question to ask, though.

I buy where the cigars I like are on sale. Sometimes that's C.I. sometimes it's Holt's, sometimes it's Atlantic Cigar Company or Cigar King. Subscribe to these and Famous Smoke Shop's daily e-mails. Watch them for a couple weeks, and before long, you're finding what you like at a price you like.

Thompson has improved a lot since C.I. bought them out.

Fox cigar. You can order a single cigar, or a box.

Free shipping. **Tax free**

They ship super fast, and you get a sticker.
