have you ever had Red Fish Grill's BBQ oysters? I believe they're tossed in a hot sauce/butter sauce, like chicken wings. They're good, but definitely not traditional BBQ shrimp/oysters.

After i had it last year, every time i fry oysters i replicate that same sandwich. I love it. The g/f said she is looking forward to the chocolate covered Zapps crawtators. Anyone have this before?

sure but seeing a 20% chance of t-storms in the 4day forecast isnt exactly something to get too worried about just yet

Never been. Are they like tasting portions or full po boys? And how expensive?

I don't know your definition of full po boy, but they aren't tasting portions. Price varies depending on what you get, but $5-$10 is what you can expect generally.

Yeah they are about 6". I almost wish they would give more of sampling size so you can try more without filling up

Nice.

I wonder if this thing can stay on Oak much longer.

I know they already talked about moving it and the street vendors were not happy but this thing is going to grow too big.

Yeah, they were real close to moving it this year.
I read that they extended the event further down Oak to make more room as well as changing up the set up some to allow the lines to form in different areas, which should help this year.

Depends on your definition of walkable, but I would say no.

Best route if you're going to walk would be to just go up to the levee on the river/river rd and walk until River Rd turns onto Magazine St. Relatively long walk. Maybe 15 blocks?

no way in hell I would walk that far. If you were gonna walk, I would take the street car to the front of Audubon Park and walk through the park to the zoo. That's still a good distance though.
