I haven’t been inside Nor Joe in over a year....stopped in during holiday shopping and it’s a shadow of its former self. Limited product selection, bare shelves, etc. What gives?

New ownership. Noticed that also. Cleared out all the cool stuff and seem to just be focusing biz on muffs to go. As I recall, no longer sell booze either.

Did you get a Muff? Yelp peeps are still raving about it.

Some people on here recommended them for a Muff, its wasn't very good to me. Wouldn't go back.

I didn't get a muff. I used to go there for particular brands of dried pasta, big jars of Amarena cherries, and bulk ricotta cheese. Sadly, no more good dried pasta, no more cherries, and the canned/boxed goods were all brands readily available at most grocery stores.

This is sad to hear. I had wanted to go in there at some point before Christmas, but was unable to do so. I guess I won't be in a hurry to go back.

Had a below average muff there recently so I won’t be going back there.

I had a hot muff there about two months ago and it was good. There was a noticeable decrease in the other inventory items.

Good enough go back for another one.

Sad to hear that. I used to go there for the selection of imported cheeses. The thing I looked forward to was walking in the door and smelling the aromas. It was like Metairie's version of the Central Grocery.

I've been there several times in the last six months and had no issues with muffalettas.
Some may not realize that under the previous ownership there were some items/inventory that hadn't moved in a long time. So while it looked nice and full of neat stuff it was basically a museum full of stuff no one bought. The new owner cleared that stuff out and so it looks like they don't sell as much.
When ordering a muffaletta simply ask them to put the olive salad on the bread instead of between the meats and cheese. It does make a difference.
Now I'm craving a muffaletta!

I believe that was before it was sold about 1 year and 4 or 5 months ago.
