Kokopelli's
Bayou Bagelry
Veracruz
...
Vaquero's
...
Cuco's
Tony Messina's was a good airport stop on Williams.
I may also be the only person who liked Foodie's Kitchen.

Foodies was an awesome place. I think it just was 10 years too early.

Pretty sure the weirdo who was the chef/owner of Green Goddess did leave and open a place somewhere else. I think it was in the American Can Company building. Didn't make it very long
Chris Debarr. He's a weirdo and a half. He opened Serendipity, which I liked, but it never caught on.

Where was Cafe Rani on Magazine? Also, when did it close?
In that little shopping center with a CC's, GNC, etc across from the fire station. Closed 2-3 years ago, reopened as La Fin Du Monde, which never caught on and closed, now houses Another Broken Egg

Mandich fo' sho'. I had to take the CEO of our company and his lawyer, who had just flown in from New York that morning, out to a job site on the industrial Canal. We finished our business and then they wanted to go to lunch, neither had spent a lot of time in NO. I took them to Mandich with the old man bitching about "what kind of dump are we going into".
After a late lunch of gumbo and trout meneure with crabmeat the 2 of them were beaming about "thst's some of the best food I've ever had". I was a young junior exec and I'll always love Mandich for making me look so good.

What a shame. That part of Magazine is my favorite.

Battistella's in the French Market. Oyster omelets were the best hangover cure ever.

God, I really miss Anthony's cooking. I seriously dated his sister and spent many nights in that restaurant. I used to entertain customers there 3 or 4 nights a month and they were always blown away with his "feed me".
Sadly, the last time I ate his food was at 1179 the year before Katrina. New Orleans lost a great person and chef way too early!

1179 has the best lasagna in the city IMO.

Several of y'all have said Mandich, have you checked out Sapphire in Slidell? It's the same family. Have not personally been but I've heard a lot of good stuff about it.
