Looking for a good restaurant that meets the following criteria for a Saturday night dinner:

Located in FQ, CBD or Warehouse district
Fun, lively atmosphere for a group of 6 in their late 20s
Price range $$ or $$$ (not $$$$)
Opened within the past 5 years

I’d have Compere Lapin at the top of the list.

I haven’t been, but people speak well of Maypop, as well.

Should have mentioned no Peche and no Cochon (not because they aren’t good options, but because I’ve been to both and want to check out something new).

I second Meril. Great atmosphere for a group. The menu is diverse enough for anyone to find something they like, and food is always solid.

Sofia checks all of these boxes. Definitely a fun atmosphere.

Meauxbar is hip, and I’d eat everything on that menu.
