Cote Sud off Carrollton. I don't hear anyone ever talking about it but it's great French food. The curry seafood pasta is heavenly. It's cash or check only though.

Agreed on Milk Bar.

The food at El Libre is great but the service is awful.

Meauxbar flies under the radar as well.

If you want family type food that's always consistent, Try Da Wabbit on Keppler in Gretna.

Talk about a hidden gem, didn’t think anyone else knew about this place. Has awesome po-boys including Korean BBQ Pork and top notch Pho on saturdays (coming from a Vietnamese guy). It doubles as a grocery store and can have a normal priced 6-pack of beer for the group

It is a great little place. Their catfish po-boy is certainly amongst the best in town. Everything I've had there is top notch.

ETA: I'll add Jamila's to my original list.

Lola’s on Espanade next to Terranova’s Grocery. Two excellent stops for the price of one.
Lola’s is a Spanish (NOT Mexican or Tex-Mex) Restaurant. A neighborhood restaurant that is a hidden gem.
