I went to the new Pancho's in Metarie yesterday.

The manager said they are going to be opening a Pancho's in Baton Rouge. Seigen Lane across from Target.

Opens in October '09.

Siegen Lane is turning into quite the culinary destination...Olive Garden, T.J. Ribs, Pancho's, Joe's or Landry's (I forget)....

we should call it Veterans Highway now...

True - that was a bad marketing decision.

Students would eat there for cheep during the day - then when they're drunk, they'd pile in there like crazy.

Well besides TA, seems like most of the New Orleanites are obsessed with eating poop.

There are only so many "grillmasters" in the United States....BR will have to be patient.

On the bright side it will keep the "gourmets" out of the good places.

"weee doggie Skeeter, let's go fill up on some of dem sloppypeeyas at Pancho's, dang, I just wish they had some of hot womens like Hooters".

I haven't eaten at a Panchos since well before the one in BR closed, but I remember it being pretty good for what it is.....a Mexican all you can eat joint. The tamales weren't bad and I remember liking the chile relleno....put some cheese on that sucker.

I just used to eat 10 tamales with chili on them. You go in knowing it isn't Ninfa's for Christ's sake.......

i fear that BR may not have a large enough native Mexican population to support a Pancho's.

At least at the newly christened one in Metairie, they looked like small turds with a hint of beige.

The BR location will get the overflow from Metairie.
