Husqvarna from Lowes, Straight shaft for around $200

Google "Backdoor Roth IRA". I am not allowed to put money into a roth due to income, but have been getting money into a roth for several years using this strategy. Basically you put your money into a traditional IRA then roll it over to a Roth sometime later.

I've been doing this on Vanguard website for the last few years, very easy to do. Basically fund a "traditional IRA", immediately exchange to a "Roth IRA". You can do it all yourself online, or call Vanguard customer service and they will walk you through it.

Just be sure to fill out IRS form 8606 when you file your federal taxes.

As mentioned above, when you google "backdoor roth IRA", you will be able to read all of the details. It was basically a "loophole" that began in 2010.

Binoculars for around $400

I am looking for binoculars in the $400 range. What would you recommend? I am looking hard at the Nikon Monarch 7 - 10x42.
Mainly used for deer hunting.

Where is the easiest place to open a "non-deductible" ira and then immediately convert to a Roth IRA? Can you do this online, or do I need to see a financial advisor of some sort?

Brown Garden Snake
Do these boots run "true to size", or a little big? My question is if my size in nike tennis shoes is 11, what size LaCrosse boots should I get? TIA

Are you going to use it only for deer? If so, why not a rifle?

No, I would use it as an "all-around" shotgun, but the hunting club I will hunt at runs dogs on the morning hunts and only allow shotguns while running dogs. Evening hunts allow rifles (no dogs), I already have a Browning X-Bolt Stainless Stalker 270wsm

Yes, if you are on a budget, look at a pump. Something like the Remington 870 will treat you well for a long time for duck, deer, etc...

Not really on a budget, some guys I work with recommend the Beretta Xtrema2?

Same way you buy a shotgun for any purpose. Get the 12ga in your price range that feels the best to you.

I'm new to this... so any shotgun will be fine in 12 gauge for buck shot???

re: Tax Deductions

If you bought a new vehicle in August of last year, you can deduct the Sales tax paid on the vehicle.
I try to max my Roth IRA every year ($5,000/year). Last year I bought $2,500 of XOM stock and $2,500 of BP stock. Year before, I purchased different Mutual Funds. What is the best thing to purchase with the $5,000 of Roth IRA?

Your budget is really needed here....great rifles have been thrown out...but some have a nice little price tag attached.

I would be willing to spend up to $1000 on the gun.
I am pretty much sold on the .270 or .270 short mag, My question is, "What rifle would you buy (brand and model)? This will most probably be the only rifle I will ever purchase, so I want to make the right decision.
This is from Morningstar - Premium Version website

Fair Value Estimate $4.50
Consider Buying $2.30
Consider Selling $7.90
Glad we got rid of the 2 bits cheer during pregame.
