Aren't Gonzalez chains enough for them...you got Cracker Barrel, Chili's, Don's, Outback, the deli inside of Cabelo's....that's a formidable restaurant row without having to fight all the big city traffic.

Isn't the Gonzales exit where Long John Silver's is?

If that's the case, it would be extremely greedy to ask for anything else.

Afreaux will come down to see one - even if he doesn't manage to get the name of the Long John Silver's owner.

Lester Earl has been camped out in the Metairie location's parking lot to snap a picture of a group of illegals actually eating at Pancho's, since he claims that they love the place.

As far as the location in BR, they had been planning to come back since before the Metairie location opened, they were just trying to find an ideal location that already had a buffet setup.

The new post-Katrina Pancho's in Metairie sucks from what I hear. Overpriced, greasy, gross, etc. My friend's dad basically told us we're better off going to Taco Bell.

The dead Shoney's? From the lines of the ill-informed that I've seen in front of the Metairie loc., nowhere big enough.

The real dream is to connect New Orleans and Baton Rouge with exits at every mile marker filled with culinary greatness (Chili's, Applebee's, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, etc... the list goes on). Don't even make them separate buildings. They can all be one huge super-restaurant of fail.

Could there be a floating Red Lobster on the lake? This would rule.

Let's make it a floating Joe's Crab Shack instead.

they make a New Orleans themed dish from what I see from the commercials. I can see it being a huge hit.

Nothing says Louisiana like steamed shellfish covered in Old Bay.

On the bright side it will keep the "gourmets" out of the good places.

"weee doggie Skeeter, let's go fill up on some of dem sloppypeeyas at Pancho's, dang, I just wish they had some of hot womens like Hooters".

I love the snobbishness of the food board. It makes me smile most of the time.
