Have not eaten here so no idea how bad this place is.

“The appetite for reality-TV chef Gordon Ramsay's televised kitchen abuse (screaming, swearing and calling people "donkeys") appears to be endless, and next week's season premiere of his latest show, "Gordon Ramsay's 24 Hours to Hell and Back," will feature a restaurant beloved by anyone who's ever had the late night munchies for one reason or another: The Trolley Stop on St. Charles Avenue.

TV crews were in the Trolley Stop last fall for filming, and the results will be shown Jan. 2 at 7 p.m. on Fox.

According to press materials, the Trolley Stop is "a classic Cajun-inspired restaurant" (huh?) and "Ramsay will try to bring this failing restaurant back from the brink of disaster in 24 hours. Chef Aaron Sanchez stops by to lend his knowledge to the New Orleans cuisine."

Having not seen the episode, this man loves New Orleans in such an obviously genuine way and I love it.
I follow him and his girl on Instagram and they seriously love Louisiana.

Probably because they threw red beans and rice and gumbo on the menu

It’s a funny name for a Nola restaurant, considering locals stroke out if you call it a trolly and not a street car

Last time I was there it was just a greasy spoon diner with eggs and grits on the menu. And St. Charles Tavern was still better.

I stopped watching those restaurant fix it reality shows a long time ago. They’re fake and I think the restaurants that participate are dumb and need money.

Trolley Stop as Cajun? Just dumb.
Though back when we were broke grad students, TS was open 24/7 and had a cheddar omelet and fries for $5, plus bottomless coffee. Haven’t been in the place in 20 years.
