Monday I am taking my daughter to the Aquarium. What would be a good lunch place close by? Po-boys or something quick.

Thanks in advance. I will hang up and listen.

Café Maspero at 601 Decatur St. They have a great Ruben sandwich and tons of other choices if you don't like corned beef.

A po-boy near the aquarium? I would go to Mother's.

You're doing it wrong. We recommend 20 places and then the OP goes to Mother's instead.

Central Grocery right past Jackson Square on Decatur and grab a Muffelatta and a couple sodas, head to the river front and eat it in some shade while the ships pass in the river.

Mother’s? Flamingo a go go? Maspero’s? Christ do y’all hate this guy?

Butcher would be a good choice.

Honestly if you are with your daughter try somewhere in Canal Place or the riverwalk.

If I was getting a poboy in the quarter I would Goto Killer Poboys on the 200 block of Dauphine.

Johnnys poboys is the best place. It's on the aquarium side of the quarter too.

Turkey & the Wolf

Not by the aquarium and is his kid a hipster.
Every kid loves avacado aioli on smoked honey ham.

Cochon Butcher is the place I'd go for a quick informal lunch in that area (although the bar is the best place to sit, which you might not want to do with a child).

Jimmy J's on Chartres might also work for you.
