Piece of Meat -- Boudin Egg Roll (think I'm missing something else)

Seithers Seafood - Harahan -- the Totem Pole (and maybe the Volcano, too). Dishes were too showy for me, but that's TV, and they looked tasty regardless.

Avery's on Tulane -- Oysters Rockefeller Po-Boy and Fried Potato Salad.

They made their own smoked bologna and made a sandwich. Guy said in the history of DDD. The bologna was one of the best meats, cured, cased, pressed, whatever on the show.

Their bologna is awesome but they put like 10 slices of American cheese on that sandwich. It is nasty

On their menu it says they use provolone and on the episode it looked to be about 3 slices. I am sure they would omit it if you don't like cheese. I am guessing you haven't been there or your confusing it with another place.

I've always heard the food is good, but the items they showed were just odd. The totem pole had about 4 too many layers on eggplant and sauce, and the shrimp kebab with the grape tomato on the top felt really random.

The volcano looks like a good Asian type app, but the shell being stood upside down with nothing under/in it and the crab meat piled on top (to just fall down) seems like an odd way to eat it. Almost could just turn the shell right side up and serve the dish (including the tuna) inside of it. Guy made some hilarious faces during that.

I like cheese. No sandwich needs 3 slices of cheese especially if it’s American, which it was the day my wife had it

That is not normally the impression folks have of our gumbo. Often some people think it's too dark, thick, or don't love the oysters. Or it was a bad day. Personal details aside things got real rough around here, so I hope you can forgive us. Either way get in touch, it's silly for you to miss out on what we have to offer if I can fix it. Have a great day!
