Going to Luke Bryan with my girlfriend and parents tomorrow night. Dad wants to eat somewhere nearby SKC, his one request was no chains. Not looking to break the bank. I know Dragos and Walkons are nearby.....I know both of those are “chains”

See if you can get into Borgne.

If you want something more eclectic, you know...before the country show, go to Meauxbar before y'all event park.

Company Burger, Balise, Magasin, Willa Jean all closer than walk-ons.

I had to look that up. I thought it was a restaurant I had never heard of.

Maypop has some damn good eats......

Within walking distance of the SKC.

ETA: What about Allegro in the bottom of the Energy Center? I've never eaten there.

Thanks to all for suggestions. We are going to Borgne. After Dad made reservations I realized that I am not a fan of that place and I have been twice. Once I got the Fish in a Bag, other time I got the Duck Poppers. Duck was small, fish in the bag tasted like arse.

Butttttt, tomorrow isn't about anything I want to do. Don't like Borgne and don't like country music. I just gotta suck it up and hope I get secks later one.

Just have a good time. Realistic expectations is the foundation of not being disappointed. Show your old man a good time.

Little Gem Saloon on Rampart and Poydras is always good....and I'll wager the music there is superior to the music you will be hearing at the SKC

The duck poppers there are absolutely fantastic. It is easily my favorite thing on the menu.
