We harvested Monday and harvesting again tomorrow morning. Not sure where they are going. It’s a spiderweb for us to keep track of each restaurant. All I ask as fellow F&D friends is to ask if Navy Coves are available. LSU alumni owned. Had a couple from Maurepas visit the farm today with there puppy Gunner.

You drive to the farm and you won’t be paying anything. I’m a firm believer in border and trade. What’s good for you is good for me.

We recently ate at Jesse's on the Bay (excellent!), and asked the waiter if they ever served Navy Cove Oysters. He was not familiar with NC, so we told him where y'all are (right down the road) and encouraged him to take the tour. Maybe it will trickle up to management.
If you have not already done so, you could consider inviting restaurant management/owners for a tour and tasting. It might result in some business.
We tell folks all the time about how good the oysters were that you shucked for us on the tour. With it finally cooling off, I'm getting in the mood to order some more.

We offer tours to restaurants anytime they want to send servers and managers over. Server turnover is super high so details get lost. Jesses in Magnolia Springs has our oysters frequently. The Ft Morgan Jesses on the Bay had a hand shake deal with Admiral Oysters when they first opened. That Chef is no longer there. No worries on my end because we work hand in hand with Admiral for sales and events. One of the owners is from Houma. Good people

Do you know if BSF has specific shipping days like Murder Point? I want to get some of the navy coves shipped for thanksgiving

We harvest for BSF every Monday and Thursday. Holidays change it up. I’d give them a call the week before. They usually ship 2 day ground shipping. At this time of year, oyster shelf life in shell is 3 weeks or more in refrigeration.

I inquired to our sales rep through Evans Meats and Seafood. Said he’s tried to get in the door at Sperrys for 13 years with no luck. Any restaurant or seafood distributors that use Evan’s can get our oysters. Inquire next time you see raw oysters. Or BSF will ship directly to you. Thanks gentlemen and ladies for all the great information.

We are harvesting tomorrow morning and Monday. Very salty and meaty.
North Gulf Seafood is our new distribution company. I’ll inquire tomorrow about shipping options and where the harvest is heading. BSF will get a delivery Monday. Water has been great. Big sheephead feeding on our cages.
