For that money, you could get 2 of the Weber Genesis, or you could add some to the pot and get 1 Weber Summit.

I have a natural gas Genesis and love it. They now offer smart models, but I'm not up on all that.

Amazing Ribs has a good info page on buying gas grills. LINK They also have reviews of several models.

I bought an Artisan last year and I love it. Look into these. This is one solidly made grill, and the ceramic briquettes are well designed and do a great job of distributing heat. Plus it's American made. I paid $2280 for mine through Marchands in the New Orleans area.

I had a Weber Summit Gas and loved it for many years. I moved cross country and decided to sell it and got a Weber Performer (charcoal) and a Weber gas (Spirit II, 2-burner) for far less than your budget.

Truth be told, the Weber gas grill is just overflow. I use the charcoal much more. I do like the flexibility of having both grills, and the efficiency of using one smaller grill when I'm cooking for my family, and both grills when I'm cooking for a bigger group.

If you want one big gas grill, the Weber Summit is top notch. You can save a ton of money, if you go with the Genesis. The new Genesis II Smart Grills are well under your budget, if you can do with 3 burners (plus a side burner and a sear zone).

You really can't go wrong with the Weber gas grills, if you want something that doesn't flare up and lasts longer than you need it to.
