Got a few days off due to the hurricane and thinking of heading to Nashville for a couple days

Looking for some good food/drink in the area

I assume they have uber service?

Also if anyone knows of a good sports bar to catch the LSU game that would be appreciated

Spent a couple of days there this summer with the family and really enjoyed Husk, Pinewood Social, and Hattie B's hot chicken. Hattie B's has a line around the corner on Sundays, so plan accordingly.

Hope you find a place to stay. They just ran a story on the news that said most local hotels were full and having a hard time accommodating evacuees.

Lockeland Table
Sperry's

And a little off the beaten path, but one of the best meals I have had (about 30 minutes outside of downtown Nashville):

Harvest at Homestead (located in Thompson Station, TN). Google it. Great historical meaning and all foods are grown locally (onsite) or sourced locally. Incredibly fresh. The "library room" is very cozy and intimate, if you're looking for that type of environment. If not, there are plenty of other rooms in the house that may fit what you are looking for.

And for brunch, The Southern.

I was expecting that but looking online there appears to be plenty of hotels

Wonder if Louisville might be a better option?

Check out the hotel sitaution. I was thinking about going there and had a hard time finding one that was close to reasonable. Places are available, but they're pretty pricey. I expanded my scope to outside of the downtown area with little luck. Apparently, the UVA - Ohio football game was moved from Charlottesville to Nashville. Obviously, that is going to eat up 400 + rooms. Also, the Houston Texans are in town.

Yeah I'll have to take a look at that situation a little closer. I'm showing plenty of hotels still available but might not be close to anything that I want to do

I'm not in the mood to pay for 50 dollar uber rides this weekend

Think I'd have better luck in Louisville? I might just stay put in Danville since it looks like we're just going to get 2 to 3 inches of rain. Just bored without having work until Monday

i haven't heard anything good about Husk Nashville. I wonder why there's such a big drop off from the original.

Where is the original? I know they have one in Greenville but I've never been there

Conversely, I haven't been to the original but have heard nothing but good things. Unfortunately, I was very underwhelmed with Husk in Nashville.

For hot chicken, skip the lines and tourist shite and head to Pepperfire.

Also, Five Points Pizza for a late night slice or two. There are bars and such in this area, too.

I've been to a few places that were supposedly local favorites, but found them to be overrated, your miles may vary.

Prince's Chicken - Famous hot chicken origin location
Rotier's - Old dive diner w/hamburgers
Hog Heaven - BBQ stand

You can still smoke in bars there?

Thought Louisiana was the last place you could do that

Had brunch at Husk and it was very good.

Butcher and Bee was also good, and Hattie Bs was an experience
