For Nashville:

Marche has a great breakfast.
Peg Leg Porker is great for BBQ, but there are plenty of other options that are also solid.
Hattie B's for hot chicken, but I hear Prince's is good for that too
Butcher and Bee is good for a nice dinner

Butcher and Bee, Butchertown Hall, Marche, Tavern. Flyte was really good for a fancy dinner.

Pancake Pantry and Monell’s are my Nashville must-dos. I haven’t done a ton of high end there though.

Fried baloney sandwich at Roberts.

I like Edley’s BBQ but that seems to be a minority opinion on this board.

Good brunch at The Mockingbird. Loveless Cafe’s biscuits are legit. Not sure how Biscuit Love could live up to the hype.

The last Coyote Blues is still open in Franklin. Louisiana Tex-Mex. I liked it.

Hole in the Wall,

La jalisco in Franklin just north of the square. Owners are Jose and Alma and they make the best damn green sauce and suadero tacos you've ever had.

If you want hattieB hot chicken without the crazy lines go to Bishop's in Franklin next to Chick-fil-A. Same owners so you can get their hot chicken there and there's never a line.

As for Indian Taj on nolensville Rd by a mile. No other Indian place comes close.

Mas tacos in East Nashville is good. Right across the street from the pharmacy which has a great beer garden and burgers.

For Thai you should go to Thai phuket next to the stadium.

For Vietnamese you should get the pho, bun or bah mi at miss Saigon.

For a great burger try Gabby's near fort negley.

2 fantastic lunch options if you're near the airport are Joey's House Of Pizza and Nathan's gyros right outside the entrance to trivecca. Both are only open for lunch.

Went to butcher and the bee last night. It's ok but be prepared that every single booth will be filled with girl parties.

If you want the best legal high possible grab a coffee from barista parlor. I'd recommend drinking it early in the day or you'll never get to sleep. This is the only time that a $5 cup of coffee is justified. Trust me on this one.

Everything I mentioned above is very inexpensive and the food is awesome. Don't be fooled by the tons of new overpriced tourist trap restaurants with overpriced food.

Eta second Sperry's. Either location is great and they have the best salad bar I've ever eaten.

Had really shitty BBQ from them and haven't been back. If you're in the area you should try jalisco for lunch. You won't be disappointed.
