Wife and I went there yesterday for a date. I was craving pizza and wanted a place that we could drink a couple beer and hang out.

The place was travel ball central. Apparently that’s the place to go when you get done with your ball game.
Service was slow but they were very busy. Beer was cold. Pizza was just ok.
Wife and I agreed that it kinda seemed like the Chili’s of pizza places. Some chain restaurants still feel authentic. This felt very chain restaurant.

And this is the 4th or 5th time we’ve been. This time just seemed worse.

Yep, that's Rotolos. Pretty good beer choices, decent pizza, Braxxton and Paisleigh.

Is that where you and little Braxxton go after ball, and you take Miss Paisleigh?

Is she into little league cheering now. Working hard now will certainly get her ahead when she moves into travel squad cheering. Are they making the girls wear crash helmets when they make a pyramid now? I heard that might happen. I bet she does tumbling too.

Not all Rotolo's are created equally. The Craft and Crust ones have much better pizza options. The "regular" ones are kinda meh.

Agree about the pizza. But that's more of a personal preference since I find the sauce too sweet. Sweep the floor cheese sticks (renamed them to Krewe) and calzones are usually good.

They added the Detroit style to the regular menu which helped a lot. Overall I find Rotolo's to be a very solid option, and much better when you dine in.

I have seen travel ball crowds at Chilis, Rotolos, CFA, and local places, too. I don't think that was necessary to mention. Their food is decent and I always had fast service.

Never been impressed with the place. Used to stop at the one in Belle Chasse and it was never a great pie. Not horrible but nothing awesome.

Rotolos pizza is good but I like their calzones better.

Nicks Pizza in Gonzales has MUCH better calzones though. Not even comparable in my opinion.
