Got there yesterday about 11:15 and got in line behind about 4-5 people. The wife and I decided to split a surf n turf with sweet potato fries.

Our order was ready in less than 5 minutes. Opened it up and there was no roast beef on it. I had planned on just getting the shrimp poboy to begin with so at first we decided no big deal. I figured it took me this long to go there might as well try the roast beef so I got back in line to get one. I told the guy taking orders what happened and that I wanted to buy a roast beef.

He insisted that it should’ve been done right the first time and gave us the roast beef poboy for free.
Both were well worth it all

Surf and turf is my go to. Next time, sit in the bar if it's just 2 of you. It's the best.

Good to hear they treated you well. Their shrimp poboy is also fantastic.

Almost had my first visit during a work trip to NOLA a few weeks ago, but Blue Oak was more convenient so I went there instead. Hoping to catch parkway one the next trip, want that surf and turf so bad

Excellent roast beef poor boy and oyster poor boy. I've yet to try the shrimp. Also, when in season, they have an excellent Thanksgiving poor boy.

Parkway isn't the best pobody in the city but it's the one I miss the most. I lived on Orleans & Hagen so would walk over to eat in the bar once a week.

It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but it was still pretty good and we enjoyed a really nice day out.
We left there and went to Cafe Beignet on Royal then to a few art galleries

I'm not so sure that it's among the best. I've kind of thought they aren't seasoned all that well compared to some others around the city.

The Parkway fried shrimp is awesome though.

I think most consider R&O's to be the best.
