WTF is this. I’ve know putting seasoning on them in the cooler is a thing but never seen adding mustard and hot sauce too. What part of Louisiana does this?

They defend it in the comments on tIktok saying seasoning the water wastes seasoning. I'm like you're wasting crawfish though.

I have friends that do this. They are rice and crawfish farmers who eat them anytime they would like to. They like variation . When you got the cow and milk, you can do what you want. Don’t like it. Throw it away and go boil another sack. No big deal to them

I think BB’s Tex-Orleans (Houston “Tex Cajun” chain) does something like this. I know a lot of people who like it, but I’ve never wanted to waste my money on it in case it was an abomination for my preferences.

I don't understand. I only season the water and I always taste the seasoning.

Unless they are saying that you use more seasoning than you need, to which I say that sounds like a poor person problem.

You can keep your slimy and gritty fingers. I'll eat crawfish with good texture.
