Baw, one of the reason I goto the Fest. My favorite food item there.

I don’t know about overrated but I dream year round about the garlic ribeye poboy with picked veggies, melted cheese, and hot sauce from Ajun Cajun. Super value for $8
Is that sliced really thin?

I was underwhelmed by the crawfish bread this year..
But... my son.. who sticks to the simple things, got the fried chicken..
That was surprisingly fantastic..
Not sure if they brine it with some peppers.. but it had great flavor

It is pretty much the very first thing I do when I walk inside those gates.

Crawfish pie.
I forget every damn year. Won't happen again.
ETA: Oh and the cracklin weren't good. Idk why i keep trying to get those every year too. I usually get a bag and share with the friends. And every year it just makes me really appreciate Danny & Bonnie's.

Yeah, it isn't so much a lack of spice. It is lack of other seasoning.

I don’t see the cheese on your pic? They put it on then torch it to melt as my mouth waters

Brisket sandwich was really overrated.

I agree about the cracklins. Very average

I'd agree that crawfish monica is probably overrated but only become it's such a popular item now and not worth price paid for the small amount you get.
GOAT Jazz Fest food is the Jamaican combo plate. That shite is delicious and a great deal for 10 bucks.

Not jazz fest per se but the bbq shrimp ‘po boy’ Liuzzas by the track serves during fest is crap

You can it get with or without the mozzarella, I personally prefer it with cheese too. They are at most festivals, with only a few do they not sell the Yakiniku. I know for sure they sell it at Wednesday at the Square, and Boogaloo. Po Boy Fest later on.
