What's the most expensive burger you've purchased in Louisiana? Not New York, not Los Angeles, not Nevada, I'm strictly talking about the Boot state.

Be sure to mention where you had it.
Yahoo ran a story on the most expensive burgers in the U.S. (typically from kobe wagyu beef or regular beef with truffles, etc), so I was wondering if there were any places in Louisiana that offered $20-$40 burgers. It's rare that I even eat meat these days, but I wouldn't mind trying a burger like that once.

I think I tried one of those huge burgers at Times and it cost like 16 bucks

They used to have a place by Carrolton and Canal that had the $100 burger. It came with a bottle of Dom.

Michael's Mid City Grill was the $100 burger place (came with a botttle of Dom).
Mortons is running a ground up filet burger for $19.78, but after a couple not so good experiences there I doubt I will be going.

I think the Pounder at Chee-Burger is around $15. It's a pretty good burger but not the best in BR.
BR's best Burgers (in no particular order):
1. Burger Delight
2. Mason's Grill
3. Times Grill

Its not very expensive, but does anyone know of the place, I think its in Vidrine, that sells the cajun deluxe? Its got cheese between two patties and deep fried, you can get it with a malted milk shake. Oh my god was that thing great, except for the fact that it was potentially lethal.

i know Luke in New Orleans has a burger that is about $15-$20, but it comes with fries.
The biggest ripoff for a burger is Storyville on Magazine. It was $11 for an average size burger or average to above average flavor, with no fries.

You can make it yourself
Patty-Cheese-Patty. A little batter and chuck it in a fry daddy.

DC does have a great burger joint....Five Guys Burger and Fries...great burgers and fresh cut fries. Its a great place that was started in Alexandria, VA but is now all over.
Michael's Mid CIty Grill was great...I agree, I really really miss it...listening to Frank Sinatra while eating a great burger in a place that felt more like you were in some joint in NYC. At least Katie's is coming back to Mid City.
