Freaking right. LINK

Steven Diehl of Good Diehl, a personal chef service, is bringing a new butcher shop and quick service restaurant to Mid City in mid-November. Called Twine: Modern Meat Market, the shop will offer cuts of meat along with prepared dinners and side dishes, made with locally sourced products.

I never heard of "Mid-City" in my years in Baton Rouge.

Sounds like that place will be a welcomed addition to BR.

Really? Mid city is a HUUUUUUUUUGE area. It basically encompasses everything from Airline Highway to I-110 and from I10/12 to Greenwell Springs/Gus Young Avenue.

Usually, it's used to refer to the area around Government Street and Florida between Downtown and Lobdell.

This butcher shop is exciting.

Technically, Mid City encompasses the area between I110, I10, Foster and Choctaw. It is a very large area though. Most people do not realize the size of the area, they only associate it with the area around Government st.

You need to put the keyboard away and actually get outside once in awhile.

As for OP, great news.

A thousand apologies.

I must say, butcher shops in general are some of my favorite places to visit. I think the experience is similar to a lady walking into a jewelry shop.

I used to work with Steven... he's a good guy. I know he's very excited about opening up. I've never had any of his food, but have only heard good things about his business. Looking forward to checking it out.

This is right around the corner from my house. And he says there will be veggie options

Yep--the old Unique Cuisine building. Just a hop and skip from my house.
