A six pack? No. A four pack? Maybe

I’ll take Bud Light all day over Ultra if I am golfing or doing anything that involves me drinking a lot of beer. Especially in the heat. Ultra is just awful and I feel like people are lazy when they order it. Everyone I know in a CrossFit only drinks that now. I just can’t do it. It’s horrible.

The marketing positioned it as "active" and "healthy." Something no beer had tried before.
It was a stroke of genius. Lance Armstrong was basically the face of the brand before shite hit the fan.

Up until recently, it was routinely less expensive (probably within the last 8-10 months) here in bham. Bud Light or Miller light would be say 3.25 and the Ultra would be 2.50.
It is completely understandable why people would drink it. If we're talking 10 years ago, it use to be significantly less abv as well, so it was on the same level as Natty, but more expensive.
Now though, it is routinely more expensive than bud/miller. Light beer just goes in phases with people. It will change again. Personally, I just hate Miller Lite. Everyone tastes things differently. Doesn't mean I think Ultra is good, but I dislike it less than Miller.

Why is it so popular when it tastes so bad?

not everybody wants their beer to taste like grapefruit, nor do they feel they need to drink "craft beer" to fit in. Drink what you like and don't worry about the rest

I gotta be honest with you. How much piss are you drinking to ensure you have an accurate comparison?

I honest can’t tell the difference between any of them but I don’t drink much beer. When I do it’s Stella

I've never understood people who say they couldn't taste the difference.
All three of the major ones, coors, bud, and miller, all have very distinct aftertastes. Yes they are more similar than like a stout and a wheat ale, but I've done a blind test before and it wasn't that hard.

Probably because I hardly ever drink beer

It's for people that don't like beer but want a beer. And people from Shreveport. Seriously why does everyone in Shreveport live off of Michy Ultra?
Posted on 7/25/18 at 4:17 pm to Clark W Griswold
Because some people don't want to drink a godamn double coffee stout.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen ultra priced under a regular domestic beer like miller lite or bud light.

I too have done the blind taste. I can tell that they are different beers, even though I guess wrong on a few.
When i say I can’t tell difference I mean there is not a censorable difference that will make me only to a brand.
When I buy light beers I want cheap and light. I go with lone star or natty. Ultra only fills one of those
