Interesting location. Some good traffic but that Cafe Roma was always empty.

These baws have been doing renovations, gonna be a nice addition to the area

These guys are good buddies!

It may not be fancy boy $50 bbq lunch, but it always tastes good and it’s an honest price.

Fine folk that run it.

8/10 bbq.

One is outside Ole Metry on Causeway and the other is in Harahan. That's not that close.

They are less than 5 miles/10 minutes drive from each other. That’s close.

I paid $33 for this earlier in the week. I was the 3rd customer in the door. Nothing was hot except the beans

Did they cut up your brisket like that? Looks underwhelming

There's only one bbq place that has even come close to knocking my socks off, and that's Grayson's just outside of

Natchitoches.

Dang, for that price I wouldn't go back. If that's an upgrade, I don't want to know what Metry already has.

The bar is set by Whole Foods

For some reason Chef Rob didn’t make it in Metry.

Land lord issue. Or couldn’t get along with the owner/partner. Or the grill didn’t work correctly. Or Metairie people don’t understand real BBQ.

Na that is the rip off that is central city. I should have known it was fishy that my food got to my table before I sat down. 3rd person in the door and none of it was hot besides the beans. Like wut

If I would be served that after paying $33, I would have told them to take it back and refund my $33.

If any of you guys are in Birmingham or Nashville, give Martin's BBQ a try. I think it started in Nashville. It is dynamite. I get the ribs a ton, went wet this time. The dry rub ribs are very good too. Lots of good smoke and flavor, very tender.

They do whole hog as well. Brisket was good, but i'm a terrible judge on what is or is not "good" brisket so I won't speak to it. Wings were dynamite as well.
