Stopped by Petite Rouge to grab a cup of French Truck coffee and saw this in Moe's windows.
I know we have some pretty good BBQ around the peripheral of the Metrys but it's abysmal within.

They have great wings
But not sure about the rest of it
It’s not great, but isn’t terrible either

Wings are solid, rest is pretty good. If there is a better BBQ place in Metry, lemme know.

Some heady bros own this place. I believe it's a franchise that started in Alabama. The entire menu is legit and at good price points - for under $10 you can get a pulled pork sandwich, 2 sides and a drink.

I got 1-2 times a week at the uptown location because it's right by my house. I usually get the chicken or the wings. Sometimes when they have brisket on special, I'll get it. The sides are ok. Wish they would serve the jalapeno cheddar grits more often.
They know me by name in there.

Their ribs aren't awful either. I've had better, don't get me wrong, but they are solid. As said, wings are very good.
It may not be knock your socks off bbq, but i've never gone there and been disappointed.

I also go often since it's close to my house. It's a solid go-to and I hope they do well in that location without a built-in college base to work off.
I rotate the wings and smoked turkey and sometimes get the brisket, which is I think is better than what CCBBQ has given me in the past year, when it is on special.

One is outside Ole Metry on Causeway and the other is in Harahan. That's not that close.

Technically they started in Colorado oddly enough, but the founders were all three from Alabama.

You know your BBQ scene is crap if Moe's is a "solid upgrade".

Your call:
Voo Doo Bbq & Grill
Ugly Dog Saloon And BBQ
Dickey's Barbecue Pit
Hurricane BBQ <--- not bad for what it is.

I think the people that go in there are comin from the Quarters with a nice buzz and diminished taste buds.

Greater NO area, you get Blue Oak, LA-23, etc.
