Gonna be in Metarie tomorrow and need to find a nice casual place to catch dinner. Not looking for anything fancy. A good dive spot is more what I'm looking for! Go

Lager's is pretty cool casual spot, at corner of Severn and Veterans. Has an Irish Pub feel to it, I'd recommend buffalo shrimp appetizer and the turbo dog chicken sandwich.

2nd R&Os.
Mr Eds is practically a nursing home hangout, but their fried chicken is indeed the bomb.
I prefer his Oyster House place near Causeway

Bevi looks to actually be close to the area I'm going to be and it shouldn't be a problem getting in there before 6:00. May give that a shot

I recently tried this and wasn't as impressed as I had hoped after being hyped by friends about it.

Never heard hype about this place and it's obvious why.
