I went to McDonald's last night for a couple of hamburgers. Went thru the drive thru got the bag checked to make sure my order was correct. Got home and opened the bag and the smell was just awful. Like dead rats smell. There is no way the cook didn't smell this rancid meat cooking..

I go to McDonalds about twice a year and always get 2 hamburgers and have never had an experience like this.. I threw them away and made a complaint to the website.. The store is in Metairie at 301 Veterans Blvd.

We're you stupid enough to order the quarter pounder? Once they advertised fresh beef for that, everyone should have known to stay away. Always buy the cheapest shite possible there.

Fake food

Set those hamburger patties outside and they will look the same after six months of sitting there. Animals and insects are smart enough not to eat the nasty shite

When a burger gets left out, it becomes dried bread and jerky. The condiments contain enough acid (ketchup) or salt (mustard, pickle) that they don’t rot, either.

In fact, the phenomenon isn’t specific to McDonald’s burgers. If you’re willing to sacrifice a burger, make one yourself, using a simple bun and the same condiments. Make sure the burger is thin, like an inexpensive fast food burger, and cooked completely, since fast food places are pretty good about preventing illness from undercooked food. Leave your test burger on the counter. If you like, get a McDonald’s burger and compare their appearance over time.

Are you surprised your fresh, homemade burger appears immortal? You’ve just created a burger mummy! This is much the same process used to preserve meat to make jerky. The burger is dehydrated protein, with a bit of fat. Most of the fat was removed during cooking. The bit that remains may eventually taste rancid, but its appearance won’t change.

quote:

Gross? Not so much, when you stop to think about it.

What’s gross is what you get if you seal your homemade burger or the McDonald’s burger (or any burger) in a plastic bag. Moisture won’t be able to escape, so the conditions will be suitable for mold and bacteria to multiply and rot the bun and burger.

TL;DR - This experiment is almost always done on a plain hamburger, which is very thin and dry, which makes rotting unlikely. A burger with condiments and toppings, even McDonald's ones, will see some decay due to the added moisture.

This is why you should stick to their frozen breaded chicken paste and go with McNuggets.

There's the problem.

Don't ever go up to the drive-thru okay? Always walk up to the counter. You know why? Ok, ok, ok, lemme' tell you, ok. They frick YOU at the drive-thru, okay? They frick YOU at the drive-thru! They know you're gonna be miles away before you find out you got frickED! They know you're not gonna turn around and go back, so they don't care.

How do you only go to McDonalds twice a year? This is the most impressive takeaway from this post.

What does this have to do with the story other than making yourself feel better about going to McDonald’s?
