Incredibly delicious sopping those biscuits in real tomato & sausage gravy...This ranks right up there with Blue Plate Mayo, Bunny Bread and salted real tomato sandwiches .

Have you tried the Pillsbury brand frozen buttermilk biscuits? Lighter, fluffier, less dense.

Those Pillsbury biscuits are delicious. I usually buy the big bag from Sam's. Great to have on hand for when you're having red beans and decide at the last minute to have biscuits too.
Quite a few years ago a friend from Alabama brought me some frozen biscuits from a local supermarket in Scottsboro that were basically no name and those were great too. Whenever I'd visit I'd get some to bring home.

Saw tomato gravy and stopped there. I assume a typo.

I agree that tomato gravy is awesome, but I like it best made in a skillet where you just fried a batch of bacon! Not sure I would like it nearly as well with a sausage base.
