Bourbon martini FTW. Manhattan

2 oz bourbon or rye
3/4 oz sweet vermouth

STIR and never shake

chill glass
black cherry and just a tad bit of juice in the bottom of the glass
strain into glass and enjoy*

*Try not to show your surprise when 90% of the people in the bar have zero idea what you are drinking and are still clueless when you say Manhattan.

And that's just chilled gin with olives, it's not a martini.

6 oz. of Blanton’s, shaken not stirred. Not a single drop of olive juice.

Served chilled with no ice.

That’s just cold bourbon.

A martini is gin and vermouth.

Coater is right about Char.

At home - 3 ounces gin, a whisper of vermouth, shake 20-30 times with ice and serve with an olive in glass.

I must be careful drinking them, so I limit myself. They quickly put my nose to sleep and that is a sure sign to my early warning system.

Only way I know is if they use an avatar and if you look at their posts and it’s there, not banned, not there, banned.

usually if someone posts a lot and abruptly stops it is a good indicator.

especially if they are a particularly rowdy or confrontational individual

Neither is the other crap people call martinis. A true martini has gin and martini and Rossi vermouth

Upvoted this. Made me reconsider the gin martini.
