Anyone besides me wish we had a Portillo's in BTR or NOLA.

I was disappointed to see dat dog fail in Lafayette. I thought the dogs and especially the buns were great. Seems like they overbuilt by a large margin due to the ton of unused space. Really good location for downtown Lafayette but I feel they would've done a lot better on the Southside. Also was confusing why the regular dog with relish and mustard was the same price as the crazy one with cornbread dressing, carnberry shite etc.

Oh well.

I'm not a fan of Dat Dog, but that is just my humble opinion. To me its more about Dat Dog than the Hotdog. JMO

Dirty Frank's in Columbus, OH is one of my favorites and is certainly better than Portillo's.

NY Butcher Shop. We have a couple of these here in Bham. They make an in-house, all beef hotdog that is easily the best hotdog I've ever tried including some waygu dogs I ordered from somewhere.

If I learned there was a Portillo's in BR or NO, I would drop off my diet today and leave in 15 minutes headed that way for an Italian Beef. Best in the world.

Went to the DatDog on Freret street a couple weeks ago and seems like they have fell off. Everything I ordered was cold. I got the duck sausage dressed w/ chef special. Left a lot to be desired to how I remember dat dog a few years ago.

Went to Piccola Gelateria after - that place is hammers.

I'm in. Hate fricking Chicago dogs, but I'll take me 2 portillo's chili cheese dogs and an italian beef.

Love em. use to live down the street from a Portilos. Wife would get the tuna sandwich.

Funny thing is, never got their BBQ.

Was actually a terrible location downtown. If it would've been further down Jefferson toward the Wurst it would've been fine. No one goes that far down Jefferson where the location was.

The one on frenchmen has tanked to shite! ordered a dog topped with etoufee and it came with orange liquid..no tails. I sent it back and came back with just more orange liquid. Gave them one more chance over mardi gras last year.... no line or barley anyone there, and I was told limited menu...limited to one of 2 premade dogs sitting under a heat lamp...Not even trying at that point

They announced coming to BR then backed out and announced a lot in Texas and even opened I know one in San Antonio. Are they down to just the 3 in New Orleans?

I wish Lums was still around. Steamed in beer. Was in Baton Rouge when I was a kid and they were good.

I have a Portillo’s a mile from my house. Very average....cheap arse frozen crinkle fries. Debris poboys are 100 times better than their Italian beef. You guys down south have no idea how lucky you are with your food options.

It sure is hard to beat a good hot dog. I like them with ketchup, a bunch of onions, and hot sauce.
