Love impressing my hipster neighbors

All of their "upscale, clean" pig sausages made here in Northwest Washington with no distinct flavor. I was grilling some Conecuh sausage my cousin sent up from Alabama and my neighbors were trying some to which I told em...that's right, get some of that dirty south in your mouth.

By far Conecuh is the best pre-packaged sausage out there..I got 4lbs in the freezer I am going to use some of it for red beans..

Where are you located? I’m sure they will ship to you but if you pay shipping costs, there are better options from smaller meat shops to you. But if in Baton Rouge area, Rouses, Winn Dixie, Walmart all carry Martins

Yea, like people in Alabama know a damn thing about how to make good sausage. Martin is my go to brand as well. Regular smoked for gumbo and the hot for eating right off the grill.

I grew up in Lafayette, lived in Baton Rouge for 8 years and now reside in Gulf Shores. I laugh at people down here when they drool over coneccuh sausage. It’s pedestrian at best compared to what is available in South Louisiana.

I live in south Louisiana and I haven't found a single brand nearly as good as conecuh. But I'll give that Martin's it's day in court though.

I have to use conecuh sometimes because we have shite sausage around here. It's serviceable, but nothing spectacular.

Well if we're talking about local or niche brands, that's different than something like conecuh which is mass produced.
I'm sure there are local, small batch brands that are better but to me, the best mass produced brand is conecuh.
