Anyone know someplace in BR area that sells La themed gift baskets? Maybe with jambalaya mix, pralines , beignet mix, etc, anything like that. Need gift for out of state friends. Too lazy to put together myself.

Aunt Sally's does nice baskets, but they're not in BR. You can order online and ship anywhere.

I'm not a fan of gift baskets. I find I throw most of the items away. Are your friends actually going to make the packaged jambalaya, for instance?

I send out of state folks Haydel's Kajun Kringle. They love it. You can order a package with a nice cute dishtowel and a package of French Market coffee if you like. It is made fresh and shipping is prompt. I've been sending them for years.

Kajun Kringle

You could also send them some good smoked sausage and a few jars of roux to make gumbo. Maybe try Kartchner's. I've been using their smoked green onion sausage a lot lately. Very tasty.

Someone on here mentioned that Rachael's in Lafayette had very good gumbo. My Mom was on a gumbo kick this Summer and there was no time to make it then,(she can no longer make it herself) so I ordered probably 8 quarts or so of the chicken and sausage and the seafood gumbo. Both were very tasty enough so that she has had me order it again two more times. I was shocked that with that heavy of an order of perishable items, shipping was under $30. Of course that was in state and I don't know the cost to go out of state. Here's the link.

If your friends don't have access to good sausage then you should put together a mixed box along with other things you mentioned.

2 things I bring back on a plane when I visit. Po boy bread and sausage.

When asked about a Christmas gift, I ask for sausage.

I only have access to good German sausages but it doesn't fill the void.

Store located in Luling and they ship.

If you call them they will customize to whatever items you want if there isn't one on the site that is perfect.
