I’m taking my lady out to NOLA Saturday evening for her birthday. I’m not familiar with the city. Can anyone suggest restaurants that offer gluten free food? She loves Mexican and Asian food, but will try new things. Any and all suggestions are appreciated. And before anyone says it, no she doesn’t eat GF by choice. She has an allergy that makes her very sick.

You seem quite prepared asking such an important question a whole 2 days in advance

I suggest a trip to Google and yelp for a list of places with those offerings. Then the board can provide opinion on quality of restaurants

This is your girl's birthday. At least try to do a little bit of work.

Wow. Y’all are something else. I work nights and she works days; sometimes it’s hard to plan when we are busy. And I’ve been out of town this week. Never mind, though.

A lot of what I would have suggested looked to be booked up from what I can see. I know they're busting your balls, but they're not necessarily wrong about reservations..

Two days isn't usually enough time for good food in New Orleans on a Saturday night.

My advice is to get on OpenTable and do a search for the date/time you want, and look through some options. When you narrow some down, bring them back here.

My sister in law has the allergy.
Carmo is good and labels the GF on the menu but it's not fancy or anything.
Also Atchafalaya was very accommodating when we told them.

I work my arse off, too. Screw your bitching. Plan ahead for birthday meals and you shall be rewarded.

Try to get into a place with good ,simple fish dishes. GW Fins maybe.

You are late. LATE

Otis, you have a point especially when restrictions are involved.

I’m sorry I don’t have suggestions, OP.

DAMN... tough crowd but, yeah asumming you've been with her over a year, you knew 365 days ago that she was having her birthday & you still failed to book a table. You're busy, she's busy, we're all busy but, your oversight is inexcusable. Learn from this & book the table 14-21 days before the intended date to avoid similar situations in the future. Let this be a lesson in proper planning to prevent piss poor performance... good luck!

Some landscape damage and a little damage to the left side of the building, looked like it just took off siding and they have it covered with Tyvek right now.

As far as the OPs gluten sensitive SO, plan a trip to the doctor instead so she can figure out what is really wrong with her.
