Yep, especially if you already have simple syrup. I usually make Mint Juleps for the Derby every year, and grab a bottle of rum to make Mojitos with too. You really don't have to do much to mint leaves to muddle them. It is a very easy recipe too, just rum, mint, lime juice, syrup and soda.

Come on, acting like a Mojito is easy to make is simply wrong I'm sorry. Its not rocket science, but there is a reason why very few bars make them and that's because they require fresh mint and they are a PITA to make.

No cocktail is horribly difficult. They are just not throw 3 things in a blender and blend nor throw everything in a shaker and mix easy.

Given that, you can buy mojito "mix". Its not great, but it may be worth it to the OP. You simply add the simple syrup, soda, and rum then mix.

Knockoff Caipirinha

Use your rum instead of cachaca. Just need lime, sugar, and ice. Can add club soda to take a little edge off it.

PLEEEEEASE just a twist of lime, not a squeeze.

This is a take on the old Moscow Mule:
with some variations and a "heads up"

Light rum
Ginger Beer ****
Lemon juice**

** you can use a lemon/lime soda or even ginger ale
*** not all Ginger Beers are equal ..
here are some that are not harsh:

true and simple syrup is a no no.
The sugar functions as the abrasive that release the mint flavor.

Exactly. A shitty mojito is easy to make. A good mojito takes some work.

For aged - find a good rum, put an ice cube in, sip. Repeat.

For silver - a real daiquiri or a mojito.

Mule. Part rum, part ginger beer, squeeze a lime into.

My favorite is a Dark and Stormy. Black rum with the ginger beer and lime.
