Looking for a new beer

I have been on a canebrake binge for the past few months. It's not that I am not happy with canebrake, because its an amazing beer, but I would like to continue to expand my horizon of beer.

From there, i would recommended a saison
French farmhouse style of beer
Would recommend tank 7 from boulevard, sofie from goose island or saison dupont

Saisons are a good light summertime brew. I personally dont care for saisons so I'd recommend a session type IPA. The previously mentioned Founders All Day IPA would be a good one.

This is the correct answer. Also maybe try Wasatch Ghostrider White IPA, its a little lighter version of an IPA.

I think Saison or Session IPA is a great option as well.
Try Parish Farmhouse Ale too.
Stone go to IPA
Founders all day
Firestone easy jack
To explain, a session IPA is a "lighter" version of normal IPAs intended to be drinkable all-day with an ABV% in the 5's. Normal IPAs pack a heavier hop punch and is likely too strong for a first timer but undoubtedly more flavor. Typical ABV around 7%. A few good ones to try:
Bell's two hearted ale
Odell IPA
Locally try a tin roof juke joint, nola hopitoulas, or Abita spring IPA
Then to really kick your arse, try a Double IPA which hits your mouth with enormous flavor and most of the FBD'ers here love DIPAs. They are typically 9-10% ABV, try the following at your local grocery:
Stone Enjoy By
Southern Tier 2XIPA
Big board favorites but a hard to come by are Sticky handz, great raft (Shreveport) grit & grace.
Report back with what you like and the good people of this board can offer even more recommendations from there based upon your tastes!

Parish Envie or Parish farmhouse ale would be a good local option. Also Nola brown is another good local option.
Or you could go to a session ipa (all day ipa or stone go to ipa) for a weaker ipa.

I'm going to recommend Anchor Steam as a bridging beer from Canebrake to other craft beers.

Southern Tier Live & Sierra Nevada Pale Ale are another two widely available beers that would likely appeal to an intro craft beer drinker.

I know I'm in the minority, but I prefer Terrapin Recreation Ale over Founder's All-Day IPA

Thanks for all the feedback from everyone, and keep them coming!
As far as tastes go, I'm not a fan of real hoppy beers. I hate to say it but i think most IPA's are out. I think I'm going to go to Albertson's after work and pick up a "Make your own 6 pack" all of beers I've never tried before and will report back tomorrow.

Try to find fresh dates on those bottles. Nothing worse than trying a new beer and hatin it, only to later on down the road you realized you hated it because it was old as grandma.

Maybe I should check the dates on that Jackamo

How many hoppy beers have you tried?
It took me a while to acquire a taste for them. I would start off with a pale ale. Once you acquire a taste for them you will seldom go back for your wheat beers like canebrake.
