My old, addled brain seems to remember people posting about a company or individual who had a great deal on direct shipped lobsters. A friend of mine would eat lobster every day if he could, he gets gout that makes his feet looks like the eye of Sauren, so I'm looking for him.

Epic saga.

The Robstaman began when Wickowick posted about the great deals he was getting with the guy's contact info. He was so successful, that he became careless, and the distributor, his employer he was stealing the lobster from became suspicious and shut him down.

Lobsters are $27/lb at Rouses. Most lobsters run a pound and a half, and I just don't see myself shelling out $50 for a lobster anytime soon.

Oh well, thanks for the info. Was he caught red handed? I bet he was steamed, my friend is from the Philippines, he is going to be one crushed Asian.

The feds got him for millions in lobster theft. He was working at the distributor, using their boxes to load up their lobsters and using their overnight shipping labels to ship out product.
One of the owners of the company came in and gave us the information years after the fact.

If memory serves we got two dozen, 1.25lb lobsters with overnight shipping for $225. I think you could get a dozen with the shipping for $125

I went to the seasaltlobster.com site. $499.99 for 1.25 and 1.0 lb lobsters, but it doesn't tell you how many pounds you're getting or how many. This excludes shipping.
